Love Architecture Planning Series, 2 of 3 : City Centres - ideas on the way forward

LCB Depot

A look at how 'city centres’ should respond to the new world. The intention is that firstly there will be a review of the threats to bricks and mortar operations within city centres. This will to be followed by the business experiences of successful entrepreneurs who have successfully combined growing city centre physically based businesses with varied business models that have utilised the strengths of different formats. Cities are ultimately about people and the urban experience, so can the right people with the right support ensure City centres remain vital in the twenty first century?

Guided Walk : Leicester's Cathedral quarter

Leicester's Cathedral quarter

"Having retraced a series of plaques in the city centre, marked for the 1984 LRSA Trail, which had until that point been a complete mystery to us! Some serious investigation later and we have uncovered a map of the 1984 trail highlighting the most important public spaces and vistas in the city."
Local architects David Hickman and Adam Smith will take the lead of this tour, focusing on areas, buildings and views at the established LRSA Trail stations around the Cathedral Quarter.
Join our architects and see this part of the city in a whole new light!
